Well, party people, I'm heading up to Hollywood for a party. It's going to be pretty cool, Jessica Alba might be there, along with some other big name people. It's a private party, you know the usualy drugs, sex, and music type stuff. So its going to be a blast.

Do you guys have any Hollywood/Celeb. escapades? Now, not like "oo, I met Mr. Big Actor at Starbucks, I mean actually get to hang out with them.

Well, it wasn't such a big even t but I drank coffee with Dan Marino.

For like 10 seconds.

He was putting sugar on his coffee so I put some on mine, too (even though it didnt need any) and I just casually talked to him.

And then he left.

I hung out with William Hung at two different Pokemon tournaments. Seriously.

But that was all before he was famous.

I ate lunch with Peter Coyote after he was done with the scene from a movie was filmed, I was security.

I spent the day with Randy Constan in San Francisco. I'm even on his website too

I met John Hodgman after a book show he did and I had him sign stuff. He said that I was the only one to make the connection between him and TMBG and called me "very astute".

Um, yah. I live in Southwestern Ontario. I'm pretty sure it's the last spot anyone famous wants to be.

I could bring up hockey sightings, but that wouldn't impress anyone but Sean....and he doesn't seem to be around much these days (grounded, maybe?)

Oh, what the hell. I've met Colin Campbell (the Vice Pres of the NHL) on numerous occasions. Mainly because he grew up, and still resides in, Tillsonburg. It's kind of a big deal, round here.

Um....a friend of mine had Matthew Perry buy her a drink in a bar in Toronto a few years back. I wish that had been me. I have a crush on Matthew Perry. He's geeky cute.

I have never met anyone famous. Sad

But my grandmother's friend is Megan Mullally's mom. At least that what she told me. Confused

My brushes with the famous are pretty small:

EDIT: Although compared to the rest of y'alls that sounds like a dumb thing to say. I guess I have seen a fair variety number of famous people.

- I lived in Pasadena, CA for a while, a suburb of L.A. where (among others) Dr. Drew lives. It also has a rediculously famous filming history. After the first year or so, I stopped being impressed and started getting annoyed when they would block off streets to film one thing or another.

- I also frequented a really cool coffee house called Equator, which can be seen in a short date scene in A Very Brady Movie 2. Yes, it's sad that I know that.

- Also at Equator, I was very nearly rude to Tina Yothers while waiting in line to get some coffee. Hey, she wasn't paying attention when it was her turn, okay?

- I attended a reading/Q&A session with Terry Pratchett, where he read from the then-yet-to-be-published book with the working title "The Trousers of Time" (later retitled The Night Watch). I had a copy of The Fifth Elephant autographed. That was especially cool, because I had been in an argument with someone online about whether the characters of Mort and Death were or ever had been the same person. I asked Mr. Pratchett to settle the debate for me, and the autograph read "Death is Death. Mort is Mortimer. Which part don't you understand?"

- And, like just about everyone else who lives in L.A., I attended a taping of The Tonight Show with Jay Leno.

- In Chicago, me and my girl were actually on our way out of the Chicago Public Library and stumbled across an announcement that Garrison Keillor was doing a book reading/signing/Q&A in about 30 minutes. That was cool.

- Also in Chicago, I had a hardcover copy of Pattern Recognition autographed by William Gibson to Cyberpumpkin, of course.

- I even met a pr0nstar who went/goes by the name Gauge once. That was kind-of odd and, honestly, no big whoop. I guess I can add that to my list, though, since I said "hey" to her and shook her hand.
