i have a samsung and i like it a lot. i got the budget-y version that has a lot fewer inputs, but the way i set things up it's no problem to switch the cables manually. (it's only 23" i believe, shit has fewer inputs anyways.)
the bravias are beautiful but pretty expensive.
the vizios aren't bad and i almost got one, but after i started looking at the higher end brands like samsung and sony i was no longer impressed--the colors are just more... bleh.
definitely try to look at them in person: can't really evaluate color otherwise, and it's REALLY useful for figuring out viewing angles and shit.
and fuck i'm nearly graduating college D: i handed in my thesis on maggot fat over the weekend
