$750. The base model was $500 or so (I think) but I wanted a better processor and a graphics card I could actually play some current games with, even at the lower settings. So once I move stuff from my dying desktop I'll be trying out that LotR MMO.

speaking of random computer shit i was going to try to get arch running on my old first gen macbook which has been sitting around uselessly, but i'd like to know what kind of shape it's in before fucking about. it still turns on and works with the minimal install of os x 10.5 i have on it right now, but it doesn't seem to properly run any hardware scan i throw at it (techtools won't boot from disk; the extended apple hardware test finishes in less than five minutes which seems, y'know, suspiciously short).

i only use it when my other macbook is acting like a media pc and i don't feel like browsing the internet with a tv in my face, so i might just go for it anyways.

Went as Jughead this year for halloween. I never thought I would get such positive feedback from a costume that took all of 10 minutes to make with some grey bristol board and bits of paper.
