I've seen that before and it's just horrible. I'm Christian myself, but I honestly don't see how people have the right to tell homosexuals (especially those who put their lives on the line for our country) that they're going to Hell. The bible says that homosexuality is a sin, yes, but it also speaks out against men with long hair, prostitution, women dressing provoctively, coveting, and lying. Maybe when I see Christians protest all of these things instead of picking out the homosexuals, I'll be happy.
Some Christians today need to learn that the bible is about love and not just laws. Holding protest signs at a dead soldier's funeral isn't love. |

Now you're the kind of Christian people should emulate. You're so cool Moose. God bless you. _________________ MY BARF is TASTIER than Yours!!!

What a retard. She is completely and totally oblivious to anything and everything but hate. Moose nailed it, the Bible isn't about hating and it isn't a strict set of laws. _________________

Maybe the bible did hate gays.
But guess, what?
It's just a book.

I'd say that's pretty strict, wouldn't you?
I'm pretty much in agreeance with Moosed's post. With an "also" added in that second-to-last sentence. |

Those verses I posted cover that question. | Quote: | | 18I tell you the truth, until heaven and earth disappear, not the smallest letter, not the least stroke of a pen, will by any means disappear from the Law until everything is accomplished. |
It still applies. So yeah, those godhatesfags people are sinning too.
EDIT: I watched it again and heard something I missed before. Sean Hannity's a Christian? That, I didn't know. Huh. |

lo, l
I think that if you're Christian and not Jewish (unless Messeniac?), you should intend to get attached to the Psalms and the less-historical-more-moral parts.
The only example of queer bashing is in Leviticus, if I remember right. Why is it that more Christians complain about gay marriage than Jews, anyway? Is it because the later don't exist? _________________

One reason might be because, historically, Jews tend to have a whole hell of a lot more to worry about than Christians.
When I think of Jewish folks who are famous, like Mel Brooks or Woody Allen or Jerry Seinfeld, what they think of all the hating on homosexuals, I picture them all looking at you funny and then saying "Don't you think we kinda have more important things to worry about than giving people who love each other a hard time just 'cause their plumbing is the same?" _________________

I think there's another one in Numbers, and I believe Paul denounces gays in one of his letters.
But still, that might just be Paul's opinion. I'd be interested to see what Mary Magdaline had to say on the subject.
As for Numbers... hm... I forget what that is. If it's the story of Sodom and Gomorrah, I think God's reason for destroying those cities was that... they were like... very very sexually depraved in those cities, 'cept for Lot. I don't think he was specifically targeting the homosexual acts that were probably taking place, 'cause it seems like there were plenty of heterosexual ones as well. _________________ Come into my den let me hear you cluck

1st Corinthians is probably what you're thinking of. I don't think it's just Paul's opinion, since in Acts 22:14 it says, "Then he (Ananias) said: The God of our fathers has chosen you to know His will and to see the Righteous One and to hear words from his mouth".
Also, in 1st Corinthians 6, after verses 9-10 (which is where it concerns the topic of your quote), its says, "(11)And that is what some of you were. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God."
So it's basically saying that even though there were people (who Paul was talking to) who commited "sexual immorality", they were still "justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ." The pastor at my church constantly talks about how you need the context to determine the meaning, so yeah.
Anyway. Yeah, that woman sure is crazy. |

I only really responded to the 1st Corinthians one since my Sunday school class has been studying that book for months. But I guess I can still look it up.
EDIT: I only looked for it in an outline, but it didn't look like there's anything on it in Numbers. Also, this page doesn't have it either, although I'm not sure of those are all of them or just the main ones. |
