Either way, I might start reading the series. How many books are thre anyway?

It's very possible that he was raised in a very Christian home. I've seen a couple instances of Christians turned Atheists that later reverted back to Christianity. Opinions can change alot in the teens and 20's but so many times you just stick with how you were raised that you revert back.

That's my theory anyway.

I think there are at least ten. It's a pretty long series, although I've never read it. Why don't you look it up on Amazon.
