also, also, RANDY NEWMAN?!? WHAT THE *bleep*!?
hey, Randy Newman DESERVES to be on this list.

ugh. I hate Randy Newman. Then again lots of people hate Tom Waits and he's high up on the list where he belongs, so I'll stop complaining.

I'm also happy to see Paul Westerberg there. I was about to rant until I noticed I just overlooked him.

Tom Waits absolutely deserves to be up there.

Where's Greg Ginn? Mark Lanegan?

I see Van but not Jim.

With the exception of Led Zeppelin, I have to disagree with every single once on the list. Well, maybe excepting Floyd too. Maybe.

You know they were talking about the dancing balls, you know the one that Cinderella went to.

Right, but the innuendo is there on purpose, and that's why it's such a great song.

I'll grant you that ever since the 90s his voice has become an acquired taste, but I think that he could wing very well back in the day. Escpeically Desire. And The Times They Are A-Changing also had good vocals on it.

When you fucking re-define an entire genre of music you better damn well be on the list.

not to be annoying, but britney spears, justin timberlake, etc. pretty much re-defined pop music in the '90s, but that doesnt make them great songwriters.

his voice is pitchy, a bit whiny, and very annoying at times.

wrong. Thery didn't do anything., That style already existed. Also they didn't write any of their songs. Also also, they don't play any insturments, or do anything during the creative process. You are wrong to group Prince in with pop idol types. You don't have to like him, I'm just saying that he did a good job of crossing Funk and Pop.

I'm digging Pete Twonshend at #33.

Also, Brian Wilson wrost extremely horrible lyrics, they just sounded really nice with the harmony. I love the Beach Boys, but the actual lyrics were horrid.
