Hello there soon to be no more party people,

Well for me, thsi is it. I leave for college in just a few weeks. I'm heading from the sweet place that is The OC, to go to Vallejo, in the San Fran Bay area. I'm going to the California Maritime Academy (Cal State Maritime) to study International Busniess. And to tell you the truth, I'm scared shitless. I've lived here for 12 years, and now I'm going to a foreign city.

I bet more than a few of you are doing the same thing, so share your story, lets chat about college.

Oh, and I plan to get a Macbook for my classes, is that a wise choice? (ITS, dont answer that) Wink

A bit expensive, but it's a fine computer.

Also, I won't ever have to leave Montreal for schooling. Smile

Ahh, college. I'm so close to being out of there.

As for the MacBook, they're pretty sweet. If it's what you want, go for it.

If you have money to spare, go for the Macbook.

Also, good luck in college!

I love my Macbook and the free iPod and printer/copier/scanner that came with it!

I'm going to the beach-ish in 11.5 days for CNU. I can't wait to meet up with all of my (girl)friends, it'll be awesome. Oh, and actually learning something'll be neat.

I was gonna show you the laptop I bought for college, but it's obsolete now... Kinda makes me wish I waited a year. Check this bad boy out:

I'm afraid I'll be alone and the only semi-but-not-totally-there geek amongst a bunch of stoners and indie rawkers and hippies. And I'll miss my mom and my friends... damn. D:

Yeah, I have a macbook. They're nice. They do get warm though. Don't keep it directly on your lap. I have a book I use that's pretty much the exact size of the macbook to keep it on my bed or lap, but even the book gets pretty hot. My dad got the free nano since I already have one, but the printer is a really sweet deal. It's a copier/scanner/printer and it's pretty fast too.

My best purchase for college so far has been the iHome. I don't have to bring a hefty boombox and now I have an alarm clock too. \m/

No, trust me, colleges are full of semi-but-not-totally-there geeks, and you'll make plenty of friends.

My computer has a desktop pentium 4 in it, but it's got a cooling pad built into the bottom of it. The case usually doesn't get that hot... the air exhaust out the side is nearly scalding, though. I've never had it overheat... and it spends most of its time running on a bed.

Clearly the best solution is to visit Canada often, if you miss people Woozy

Good luck in college, to all of you! It's a great experience - lots of work, but it's all worth it. haha, but to be honest, I'm so glad I finished that part of my life already.

Well, kinda.

I'm moving across the country on August 24 to go to medical school at BU. It's sooo soon. Goodbye, west coast Sad
