Oh really. 
As bey pointed out last night, you can still celebrate the birthday of dead things. If you don't agree, next time Presidents' Weekend rolls around, go to work.
I did like rules, even with its flaws. After all, it did spawn this place.

If Simon wasn't so lazy, and cared about his forum and members, it would still be alive to this day. Simon was a nice guy, but he was too quick to judge and he neglected rules which is a no no in admindom. When you are an admin, you join in like the rest. Mostly what he did was LOCK threads.
Still, we should reflect on rules birthday, because .net spawned it.
