I'm in the middle of production week for our school production The Wiz. Opening night was last night, and it was pretty ace.
So what school productions have any of you been involved in? _________________ |

| I helped with Les Mis at my school, as well as one of my favorite plays ever, Noises Off! I also helped on Suessical, but not much. Most of that was professional, but I did some painting. My sister is helping with some 101 Dalmations show for kids. It's part of a workshop thing for the younger kids, I guess. My sister also might end up in Beauty and the Beast later this year. She's a Freshman, so probably not a big part, but she's got a GREAT voice... |

I was always in the plays during primary and middle school. After that my school didn't seem to fund for any drama, so all my dreams faded away. _________________

In sixth grade, I was in chorus ( ) and we sang a medley of old songs. The only problem was that I'd never heard "I Want To Hold Your Hand", so I no idea what the teacher was talking about, so when I sang the chorus, it was more like "I wanna hold you hand and and and and and and and....". _________________

my school makes a huge huge deal out of those. we have a fall play and a spring musical every year that just about the whole city sees. they always do a great job. they did "the sound of music" just last spring, it's crazy. i've never been into that kind of thing, but as an incoming freshman who knows a lot of people, a lot of people are trying to get me to join. not gonna happen. _________________

We have a top notch theater program at our school, and I've done every play since I was a freshman. We do a non-musical in the fall, and then a musical in the spring.
Freshman Year:
Charlotte's Web - Avery Arable (The little bitch kid)
Damn Yankees - Bat Boy
Sophmore Year:
The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe - Edmund (The little bitch kid who defects)
The Mystery of Edwin Drood - Townsperson/Policeman/Opium Addict
Next year I plan on doing them all, too. Maybe I'll get some actual lines in the musical!
But I can't really complain, since I had one of the top parts in both of the non-musicals.

My school puts off a big musical production every year. Most of the time it's a musical like Aida or Wicked without the acting part and other songs thrown in. The soloist got to go to Japan last year to perform at a Worldwide Expo (though I think that's only because our school puts like, 90% of it's budget towards the shows).
Our drama club and theater classes performed in the cafeteria. _________________

I was Ishacar in Joseph and the Amazing Technocolor Dreamcoat and a Russian in Fiddler on the Roof. Hehe...I was in two Jewish plays at a Catholic School. _________________
