Hey guys, its been a while. Just trying to get ready for college, and now I'm finally here!
Moved into my dorm today. Pretty sweet. CMA is a great school, looks like I'm going to have fun.
Still need to get a few things, but for right now, everythings fine. Getting a 27" HD flat screen (not plasma). Its going to be sweet. Need to get a few 360 games, but that can wait.
I'll post pictures later.
So, anyone else move into thier first dorm room?

I sure did. It's really big and nice, but guys really can't keep a bathroom clean. 
I posted some pics of my DECORATED door in the Mini-Stick. You find it, lamers.

My college cleans the bathroom for us 
although, my roommates and I will probably keep a pretty clean bathroom... two of us are neat freaks.
We each get our own bedroom and a nice big common area... I think I can get pics... well, I'll get 'em eventually, at least. It's sweet.
Being a Junior gets you GREAT rooms.

Man, the dorms were pretty cool for a while, I guess, but I'm glad I'm out of there. Even if I can't turn on the light in my new room because it's too loud. . .

My dorm last year was like that. We were all afraid to turn the lights on 'cause we thought it might start an electrical fire.

even though it's not a real room, my room's really nice. i have a balcony!
i don't want to move out. well, moving out = single, right now it's a triple (with someone missing actually so it's a bit of a double). my hall seems pretty chill and it's subfree and there's a bunch of really cool people downstairs.
the mods seem kick ass. they're like apartments. firsties are all in the dorms though.
at least i'm not in a hotel!

Congrats on the move in. The shuttle I was on actually dropped a first-year Hampshire student off at a hotel. I'm not sure if that was her permanent situation, but either way. . .

Mmm first year and Rez life was an expereince. Not one I would do again, but I'm glad I did it. I mostly made enemies, since I'm an opinionated girl.

uh, unless you're at a really rich or really small school, your dorms until at least your junior year will be one singular room, shared with at least one other person.
unless I'm mistaken.
So yeah, Sharp, expect to share a bedroom, 'cause that's all dorm rooms usually are... two beds, two desks, two dressers, and maybe a sink.

I'm with Sharp. I like my personal space. I'm not looking forward to sharing a bathroom with a bunch of other people either. Just.. eww. 
But hopefully I won't have to do that until I transfer as a Junior anyway. Hopefully. |

well, if you go to the right college, you'll only have to share a bathroom with maybe 3 or 4 other people your freshman year, and then only your roommates after that if you play your cards right.

I've just moved in at north texas. I'm in a three person room, and I like the guys and we get our own bathroom. I miss home though
