My first name is Emilio but most people know me by Cris. Which do you like best? First there's Cris which has less syllables, but then again that Emilio is a very unique name.

Meh. My mom says it means "the best" in some language. I don't really know about that, but a lot of people seem to like it....

It's obviously Italian.

And Etruscan in descent, apparently. Meaning "kind" or "graceful".

Not quite "the best".

Actually it's Spanish. Nice try though. Everyone thinks it's Italian.

;O

It sounds Spanish too. Same thing.

Here's the story:

It's the Spanish, Italian and Portuguese version of 'Aemilius', which means 'rival'. But that meaning has been lost in translation and so it now means 'kind'.

I'd say there are some pretty big differences between Spain and Italy:

Language
Renaissance background
Italy looks like a boot and Spain... well, doesn't.
