pre sonic. everything about the new sonic sucks. the BADITUDE, the stupid storylines involving princesses and emerald essence or some shit, the stupid characters.

Everything about the new Sonic looks cool. I've never been a big Sonic fan but I did like Sonic Adventure 2 Battle a lot. Besides, my favorite character in the franchise came out post-1998.

classic Sonic was awesome. Then they added Tails. The series was still okay, though. Then they added knuckles. Well, it was still a'ight.

And now that they have 7 million characters, the series is absolutely terrible.

Sonic was edgy back in it's day. Sega is desperately clinging to it.

Sonic was never a very good series, game-wise. Sure, he ran really fast and had sweet music and neat enemies, but there's never been a lot of variety. And when they did try to introduce variety, Sega gave us Sonic Pinball, Sonic 3D, and Sonic's X-Rated Sack Race.

My first sonic game was 3d blast for the saturn. I still have a soft spot for it.

And sonic adventure 2 battle was fun no matter how you look at it. It wasn't sonic, and it sure as hell wasn't on par with a mario game, but it's worth 30 bucks.
