So Borat's not playing the theaters here.
What the fuck, Empire Studios? You had the big cardboard cut-out in your lobby since September! _________________

Yes.
It's so simple!
Less theaters means less people who go to watch it, means more money! Of course! _________________

Wikipedia is always correct, so this should explain Fox's cutbacks.
| Quote: | | In late October, less than two weeks before the film's debut, Twentieth Century Fox scaled back its American release from 2,000 to 800 cinemas after marketing-survey data showed unexpectedly poor levels of audience awareness, with only 27% of respondents being aware of Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan compared with percentages as high as 81% for the film's opening-weekend competitors. In addition, a movie industry analyst has said that executives feared Americans would not get the comic's Kazakhastani journalist character. The move surprised industry professionals, who could not recall such a move being made so close to a film's release |
| robert goulet wrote: | how about you pay attention? this thread is about the movie, therefore, if you refer to "borat" (the name of the movie) I, as well as most will believe you are reffering to the movie. if you wanted to say you watched the tv show, you should have said "ive watched ali g several times', because that is the name of the show.
no, but im sorry, im a moron for thinking you were lying about seeing the movie several times, since youve never lied about anything on this forum before. |

It's part of the name of the movie. He didn't say it was the ENTIRE name of the movie. So nitpicking failure. _________________ I'M A TARD |

Also, according to the "infallible" wikipedia, it's Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan with a colon, not an exclamation point.

Yes, we never say full movie titles because all movie titles are 12 words long. _________________

...what's your point? this specific movie was twelve words long, and is more often than not just called "borat". in fact, unless it's a news article or formal introduction of the movie, ive ONLY heard it called "borat".
sorry, son. your attempt to pretend to be smart has failed. _________________
