The major problem with a lot of environmentalist solutions is its inherent class bias. Really, only a few can afford to live in a solar-powered house or invest in hydrogen cell technology. On top of that, the livelihood of poor greatly rests upon greasing the wheels of climate change. Blue collar work is pretty gross for the earth. |

I don't think it's a low blow at all. Just because Mav's one of those wacky liberals doesn't mean you have to subject us to your snide remarks. Nobody else needs to witness your dick-measuring contests. I mean, you're ruining my Earth Day, man.
I don't think it matters that Mav lives in an eco-house, for it to be a suggestion towards cutting pollution and waste. I don't think it's hypocritical any more than your stance against abortion. "You've never had one, so your opinion doesn't matter." would be pretty lousy logic, and your reasoning fails on the same grounds. |

I had a pretty rockin' Earth Day last year; I was visiting the Brown campus and was chatting with all the hippies.

The title of this thread is "Happy Earth Day", not "Is Global Warming Real?" or "Is Mav just a hypocritical hippie?"
It doesn't matter that Mav doesn't live in an eco-home.Hardly anyone does because most of us don't have the MONEY. Let's just get back on topic, okay? ITS, I know you're a mod, but that doesn't excuse you to come into a thread and stir up a fight. It's just plain rude and immature. Despite what you think, it IS a low blow.
Anyway, happy Earth Day! I'ma gonna go plant some trees! And actually, my family does have plans to plant a vegetable garden soon. Also flowers!
