agreed.
I don't think Katamari was even on there... but they had some EA Sports games on there, as well as Mario Kart @#$@ing DS.
No. Katamari is better than those, thank you. Fail. _________________ Come into my den let me hear you cluck

Actually, Mario Kart DS was and is an extremely popular game: Many consider it to be the best Mario Kart game yet, plus it has inter-system play and it's easy to pick up.
I love the Katamari games, though. At least one of them should've been in the top 100, but that's sorta like talking about the top 100 songs of all time. There's just too much out there for it to be a very good list.
Also, if that's a picture of you, ITS, please please don't wear that thing out in public. There's a chance you'll get punched in the face really really hard, and although we don't always agree on everything, I wouldn't want that to happen. _________________

did you notice that approximately almost all the games in the list were made after 2001?
yeah, that's why I don't like the list.
edit: also there are no RTS games... please don't call rome:total war an RTS, it's only half one. and the RTS parts are the worst parts of the game. _________________

you're actually a poop in the ass for saying that, but i do agree it shouldn't be number one.

Nine times out of ten, RPGs are terrible games that force you to rot in front of the TV while repeatedly wading through boring random battles until you're supplied with an interesting piece of the story, which is admittedly usually top-notch. I haven't played Chrono Trigger, but it strikes me as one of the many RPGs such as what I just described. However, I do plan on giving it a chance the first opportunity I get.
That said, I'm glad that the majority of the few RPGs I have managed to enjoy- Earthbound, Paper Mario, Skies of Arcadia, Kingdom Hearts, and Secret of Mana- are all on this list. I definitely think that Majora's Mask should be above Ocarina, or at the very least above Wind Waker, but all three are great games that earned a spot on this list.
Anyone else notice that there's like, no Genesis or Dreamcast games at all? At the very least, Sonic 3 and Jet Grind Radio should have made it on this thing somewhere. Also, a few too many fighting games for my taste. I've never played a Splinter Cell game, but based on hearsay they're fantastic and probably could've been bumped up a bit. Also, where's Pikmin, or Pikmin 2? _________________

Wonderful, now I've got to blow up all of my Mario games. I hope you're happy, Commie.
Anyway, Paper Mario 2 got the spot it deserved, I think. It was fun, but not mind blowingly awesome. It didn't set a new standard for RPGs (though it's a shame it didn't- you actually get to play an active role in its battle system) or anything like that.
I'm sort of surprised that at least one Pokemon game didn't get on the list. Whether or not they deserve it is something different entirely, but at the very least that's got to be one of the most widely played games of all time. _________________

There aren't random battles in Chrono Trigger.
The battles are in specific places. |
