I remember when he was shot. I was watching TV, when my friend Greg called me and told me what happened, I turned the channel, and I watched. I so wanted to travel to NY right then and there.
Rest in Peace John _________________ MY BARF is TASTIER than Yours!!!

I did a video on him with my friend. I had to play Mark David Chapman. >.>
We found this radio scan of the night he was shot. It's here.

get over it.
every year. it's exactly the same.
yes, he was a top bloke, but come on.
everyone gets so emotional about this every year. and there were better people. and there still are.
i'm sorry to be a party pooper but we should be celebrating his birth, not his death. _________________

Just think if he were still alive. We'd actually have war protestors that would be doing something instead of pimping albums. _________________

| Why don't we celebrate their birthdays as well. I am all up for talking about the anniversary of their deaths, but birthday parties are much more exciting. |

yeah, but when an internationally loved and respected person was assasinated, it adds a bit more gravity to their death. also, lennon (through music) established a (sometimes deep) personal connection with tons of listeners, a special aspect you'll be hard-pressed to find in other dead folks that you didnt know personally. _________________

I am in complete agreement with that statement. His death had a huge impact on the world, and through my parents, effected them in the world they had grown up with.
A little while ago I read a report on the death of John Lennon from an eye witness account. it was a really emotional article.
Right now, listening to the Beatles is actually one of my major pastimes the music. They have amazing talent in their music, and can connect with their listeners in a fashion I have never seen before. Namely when John created his own songs. Long long long has a strong background for me.
So Rest in Peace John, you deserve to lie in peace for once. |

Haha, indeed it is.
Either way, John's death was pretty tragic. |

Shh. My point was that a song just like that has a huge importance to me.
Unless I typed it was John's. I swear I didn't mean to.
EDIT: Aha! Broken idea saves the day. it should be something like, "Namely, when John writes some of his own songs. An example of a song that really connects to me (not necessarily his) is... |
