I believe this shall be the first step we take before making another "greatest thread in existance", rather than delving into the adventure again suddenly.

In this topic, rather than just post any damn picture or text that we personally believe is 'great', we will instead discuss exactly what is great, and what is not.

I firstly must declare my opinion on the matter.

- Stolen images from Encyclopedia Dramatica, or indeed any picture from Encyclopedia Dramatica, are not great. To steal is to be cheap. Find things yourself, rather than using up memes. ED is not the word of God.
- No edited pictures containing any rennaissance depiction of God are allowed in a 'great' thread, unless they are approved of.
- Most 4chan images are not great. Many are, but once images from the site are used again, and again, and again - frankly, I think the thread becomes total shithouse.

Thus, I propose we follow certain rules next time, including the following.

1. You must not post more than three pictures per post.
2. There may only be one Encyclopedia Dramatica/4chan/other meme site related image per 20 or so posts.
3. There shall be a group of 5 taxiarkhoi that decide whether or not an image is permitted in such a great thread. If it does not meet the expectations of two or more officers, the poster has a chance to edit their post and redeem themselves. If they resist and do not, they are banished from the thread and all subsequent posts of theirs in the thread are ignored and edited, if not for a certain amount of time. If they edit the post the second time and the result pleases the officers, it may not be edited again. If, however, the second edit gives poor results, it must be left blank.
4. Try harder.

I declare that under these reformed laws, a great thread will thrive again ffs.

The way we are looking at it now, we are making the Funniest thread ever. To make the greatest, maybe we should do/mention other things than 4chan pictures.

Like the greatest novels/songs/philosophers/historical characters.

I always thought this "greatest thread" was essentially a "Post funny pictures here" thread. It was by the time I started reading it.
