who has seen these really funny movies about a wacky detective who gets into trouble?!
well, I have been collectin a whole lot of them. I've almost got htem all, they're quite possibly the best crime drama/comedy I've seen.
my favorites include:
"anus malone's big undercover whoops!"
"anus malone's horticultural hijinks!"
"anus malone's 'surf's up!'"
"anus malone's 'fore!'" (aka "anus malone's 'golf shennanigans!")
if you haven't seen them, i strongly reccomend them. _________________

You're leaving out most of my favourites:
"Anus Malone's Syphillis Screwup!"
"Anus Malone in Communist China"
"Anus Malone's Agrarian Adventure!"
A goldmine of comedy and suspense! You can't leave out his companions, though, like his girlfriend Cunty McTeague and his brother, Colon Malone. |

I'm glad you two got me into his movies. I must say, at first I thought it was your standard mystery horsefeathers, now I must agree that it's an elegant, yet casual series.
Malone's infamous "wet bicycle" scene in Anus Malone and the Aquaduct Dynamo! has to be one of the best silent comedias of all time. What's more is that it was filmed in 1973! _________________

I had to quit after "Anus Malone's Hampster Roundup". |

My personal favorite is "Anus Malone's Skin Graft," but you can't deny "Anus Malone and the Pancake Man" as an all-time classic.
Recently I saw "Anus Malone and the Man in the Alley," but it really wasn't what I was hoping for based on the previews.

So true, so true! I love the use of foreshadowing. Brilliant work. _________________

hey have any of you guys checked out the anus malone fan site? It's in its early stages right now, but apparently the site builder has close connections to the author of the Anus Malone book series, so I have considerable expectations for this site.
Hopefull more content'll be added soon. _________________

Looks like they got the review of "Anus Malone and the Derelict Pope" up.
I can't remember if Scooge Andersman was the guy that killed a Scotsman for a cup of sugar or not... I'm going to rack my brain trying to remember. |

Scooge Andersman was simply the snitch, it was actually Stephen Williamsmith (I had a hard time distinguishing between them at first too, their personalities being so similar).
bump.

I wish they hadn't picked that Todd Fattington excerpt, he's one of the blandest reviewers I've ever read. He doesn't seem to have much an opinion. _________________

I agree, he writes too much of a synopsis rather than developing any of his own ideas. _________________

hasn't the man heard of paragraphs?
nevertheless, I hope they put up a review of "Anus Malone's Ethnic Mishap!" soon. That was probably my favorite late '30s Anus flicks. _________________

I sure do hope that someone will finish up that biography on Mungo Shoeshine, though. I hear the original author got too bored with the story and was hoping someone else would finish it. |

Yeah, what an idiot. Hey, look at those posters. Isn't it marvelous how graphic technology has developed over the past seventy years?
David Thompson also calls Mungo Shoeshine "a brilliant man made of foul smelling tosh" in his most recent Biographical Dictionary of Film. Discuss! _________________
