He's very easy compared to all the other bosses in the game if you're patient.

He's very easy compared to all the other bosses in the game if you're patient. |
I could never get passed the guy on the bridge, I think he was the second one.

If I remember correctly, if you get enough hits in on him the fight'll automatically be over. Of course, you lose anyway.

No he's not! His attack pattern is easy. It's just that after a certain point he stops taking damage or something. I can't remember exactley how he makes you die...

Well, he runs into you, for one. Then shoots the spark and it's all over.

Oh, anyways..
Mine would have to be...
The samurai from "Revenge of Shinobi".
They thought it'd be a wonderful idea to have a boss that has a VERY small target and is only vunerable for less than a second, and you almost have to be dangerously close to hit it in time.
You pretty much have to have spot-on timing to hit him.
Here's a screenshot:
You see the spot on the helmet where the eyes are? That's where you have to hit. And he has to be hit while swinging the sword, which means you'll most likely get hit while trying to hit him.
(a good thing to note is that that screen is most likely taken by someone using a gameshark, as the shurikens only go straight forward.)

In Onimusha 3 Marcellus was surprisingly difficult for an early boss. I didn't actually die, but he still got me pretty low and he got pretty annoying when he used his shield.
I realize he's not the very first boss, but he is the first boss you fight against as Jacque (I think that's how you spell it).
