I saw a get smart movie trailer or some shit on tv yesterday morning, was that real or was I just having a weird dream that would be kind of funny (in a depressing way) if it were a dream, but since I'm pretty sure it's real

That one clip with the phone was alright, but I'm sure that if I was a fan of this show originally I'd be as steamed as Goulet, Ian and Troy are sure to be.

Holy FUCK that looks stupid. Not that I was too much into Get Smart in the first place, but I really don't see what sort of new ground a new film could cover.

I'll console myself with the promise of a John Carter of Mars film in the near future (by Pixar, even!).

This is no jab at you, man. Just a general rant.

What the hell people. Why is Ender's Game so god-damned popular? Why do people who never read another piece of science fiction in their lives love Ender's Game so much they want to talk about it with me? "Hey, you like science fiction? Have you read Ender's Game?"

It's got mind-blowing themes, assuming your mind is ten years old and not very thoughtful, and Orson Scott Card is a shit writer. A good meter stick is the fact he hosts writing seminars, and it's general knowledge that writing seminars are only hosted by shitty writers. Fuck.

Ender's Game isn't a bad novel. It's Card's best, and I enjoyed it, but I'm so sick of having to hear about it.
