Wow, really hard to say. I looked through them to try to pick one, and that just made it harder, so I'll go with my gut and say Cape Feare. _________________ Married to Terri.

Yeah, that one's also a fantastic episode. That's up there for me, too. Season 8 has a lot of great ones. El Viaje Misterioso and The Springfield Files come to mind, too. Oh, and In Marge We Trust. _________________ Married to Terri.

I like tales from the public domain, if only for Homer's Odessey. |

tru. i love a lot of the eighth season, but there were some stinkers in there (my sister my sitter was terrible). in marge we trust is a classic example of the subplot being way better than the main plot. it's also a bit odd how john swartzwelder wrote a decent amount of the best and worst episodes of "the simpsons" _________________

Yeah, I actually put In Marge We Trust on there because of the Mr. Sparkle plot, not the Marge plot. I never thought My Sister My Sitter was that bad; it has its moments, at least.
Sharp, your favorite episode is a "classic story" episode from season 13? It's not even that it's bad, I just can't believe it's anyone's favorite. Actually, I am kind of biased against the classic story episodes just because there seem to be so many of them now and they tend not to be that funny.
I always thought the actual Homer's Odyssey was one of the better first season episodes, though. _________________ Married to Terri.

i tend to dislike the anthology episodes in general (there was one tonight actually), outside of the treehouse of horrors.
speaking of which, the shinning. best treehouse segment fosho _________________

actually I have to agree with rob, homer's enemy is a masterpiece
also even though I don't like the three segment episodes usually, the spinoff showcase is another favourite. also both parts of who shot Mr. Burns. _________________

The Spin-Off Showcase is an exception to that rule for me, too, probably because the Love-matic Grampa act was great. I don't know if it's one of my favorites, but I really like that episode. _________________ Married to Terri.

the homer and marge subplot is good, but i really dont like the main plot. it's so out of character and pretty sloppy. it's w/out a d/oubt the worst episode of seasons 4-8 _________________
