I think you'll understand. Sometimes when I'm driving on the road at night I see two headlights coming toward me. Fast. I have this sudden impulse to turn the wheel quickly, head-on into the oncoming car. I can anticipate the explosion. The sound of shattering glass. The flames rising out of the flowing gasoline.

I love this man. Only one other comes close to the Walken level. (P.S. Woody Allen is okay too.)

Can you imagine Allen saying that instead of Walken? Actually, I think that'd be really fucking funny.

Woody Allen's recent films are really depressing.

Extremely depressing.

Well, there's depressing as in really not that good (the one with Jason Schlagwerk or whatever his name is) and as in actually depressing (Match Point, good god).

That's the movie I'm talking about. The whole movie is about men's fear od death. It seriously gave me depression Sad

Now go see Crimes and Misdemeanors. It's pretty similar in theme.

I was happy that Match Point wasn't a crapfest like the last - oh, five or so of his movies. Deconstructing Harry came out of a slump too remember. (match point was no deconstructing harry though)

Match Point was pretty out there for Allen. Even among his serious movies it's very different.

I loved how he used the same camera shots he uses in New York. Like the Brooklyn Bridge scene in Manhattan became the London Bridge- nearly identical camera angle though.

I liked it alright. The last twenty minutes of the movie was great. Everything else was kind of meh.

Sorry, I just saw it recently, so I have a lot to say about it since I'm a Woody Allan fan to a crazy degree.

We can make one May 4th. I'll call it "Condition Oakland", and that's when you know it's time.

It's a fact. NO MOVIE with Christopher Walken, Samuel L Jackson or Sean Connery can be bad. They make it good automatically
