The banana is the athiest's nightmare!

seriously, this is some funny stuff. I like it when the lady just totally owns one of them. though I don't know what happens after that...

it's a half hour long, but just watch the first five minutes at the least. :)

I imagine that the banana fits even more perfectly into an ape's hand.

If not, I doubt any elitist atheist would even bother watching the first 10 seconds of a Christian program, let alone the whole deal.

I'm a bit agnostic myself.

And I'm watching the whole thing, since Fru posted it. <3 Devastated.

I watched all of it.

They make some interesting points, but I've heard interesting points from atheists/agnostics as well. I think they just went out and found some really dumb people who called themselves atheists. Or they didn't show the atheists pwning them or something like that.

They have good intentions, I suppose.

The whole "atheists are really agnotistic" thing is absolutely true. I was an atheist and through my own exploration came to realize that absolute atheism is as bad as Christianity. It's a mindset created by our distaste towards religion dogma.

But when they make the leap from agnosticism to Christianity it all falls apart.

I particularly like the part where they try to convince "the atheist" that absolute proof of God exists and that God shows himself to you by following his commandments, etc. So in order to see the proof of God, you have to make the assumption that God exists.

I remember when Kirk Cameron was an athiest. I wonder what made him do a big turn around. I seen this before on a Shoutcast TV station. Its very informative, and they make perfect sense.

Man, I just can't do religion. Whenever I hear anything, I'm contradicting them in my head throughout the entire thing.

Ohhhh, goddamn, this is such bullshit.

I was watching this with a philosophy/literature teacher in the room (during free time) and he was able to come up with several arguments against the whole creationism thing, apparently basic philosophical arguments.
Not to mention that a building can go up in a year and many people believe (myself included) that the features of the earth were created slowly over millions of years.
And if you look at the creation to glean information about the creator, you can only glean so much that the creation shows. The example that the teacher used was if you have a gold watch, knowing it was created, you don't know if the man who made it is proficient with silver and other materials.
Imperfection is inherent in everything that happens no matter how you attribute it.

Okay, so all of that sounds totally off topic but the dude explained it better and it made sense. I'll give some credit to the athiest=agnostic thing, but really, a hardcore athiest puts his/her faith as deeply in the possibility of there being no god as some people put into being a god.

Ack, I can't argue D:

I'll probably watch that later. Maybe.

Kirk Cameron was pretty good in Left Behind, though. Devastated.

What the hell were you doing watching Left Behind?

I remember I wanted to get the books purely as a joke and my mom wouldn't let me. D:

My church went to see it once. You can't turn down free movie tickets, unless it's a documentary or kids movie.
