Discussions a plenty!

- Julius Caesar was arsessasinated!
- Spartiates were better than Persian Athanatoi!
- Qin became paranoid and obssessed for immortality and so he drank mercury!
- The North African elephant became extinct thanks to Hannibal Barca and the Romans!
- Alexander III did some "kool" things!
- Ramesses II was radically awesome!
- Sea people destroy the Bronze Age!
- Obelix fell into a cauldron full of magic potion!

Plus much, much, plenty more!

Ithink i have the knife that Julius was stabbed with in my possession at the moment, his murder was like a pre meditated murder of J.F.K anyway, large crowd, slow painful death, ignorant kids hearing about it later laughing because it wasn't them, that sort of thing.

But he was avenged, and that's what matters. Unlike JFK.

Yeah. What a hippie movie.

What was your favourite ancient civilization anyway, Zac? I bet it was those Thracians!

I always liked ancient history the best, out of the other kinds. I'm not all that good at remembering what happens, though. Devastated.

The history of China and how their religions evolved and shaped the government was pretty cool. That and those rivers of mercury in that tomb that has yet to be found.

I actually watched part of a "documentary" on the new tomb they found next to Tutankhamen's earlier this year. Looked pretty neat, even though it was just one room connected by a shaft.

that would be close, i've always liked the brutal efficientcy of spartans those, and your rendering of them in your drawings add much to the appeal.

I never actually 'render' them when I draw them, though. I always make sure they're as close to historical correctness as possible. That's probably why I dislike God of War so much.

And yes, Qin's mercury rivers haven't been found yet, and they're still excavating new statues of the terracotta army - totally rocking.

My favourite part of BC was when the universe just sort of comploded itself together.

I'm still amazed that they took so much time to detail every terra cotta warrior differently. With the weapons and chariots and battle positions. So cool. Surprised

Yeah, each one has a different facial expression and different weapons. And they're life sized!

Damn.

Aww, the second picture isn't working. Sad

I think a bunch of them still have their color, too. I want one. Kind of like those indian cigar statues. Except way cooler. ;o
