They've had the power since.... forever, Mav. Police brutality has always existed. It's what happens when people who can't handle being cops are cops.

Besides, this was campus police, wasn't it? They weren't even real cops.

As far as I understand it the UCPD is a division of the LAPD.

So yeah, they're real cops.
