Everyone I've ever talked to has loved it, but I really didn't find it that interesting.

I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say most of the movies directed by Tim Burton.
Maybe it's just me, but I never saw a Tim Burton movie that I liked.

well, youre a smart kid so i probably dont have to school you on how good of a satire it was on the arms race and such. i love it because managed to be funny and terrifying at the same time, as well as great characters and performances. it also was full of suspense and comedy, two of my favorite elements in a movie, and pulled it off well (a feat i have yet to see accomplished in many other movies.) it's a movie that can still be enjoyed the second time (even moreso). the movie is dark and hilarious without being vulgar. even the dialogue itself gets me ("precious bodily fluids", "You can't fight in the War Room!, "The auto-destruct mechanism destroyed itself!", etc.)
it's the best dark comedy ever, mostly because it turned one of mankinds greatest fears into something totally laughable. and despite being a movie about the period, it doesnt feel dated at all.
i also nominate this post for my most pretentious. sry guyz

I probably should see it again... I saw it a while ago, although I still think I was old enough to understand most of it. I'll rent it or something...
It wasn't that bad, it just wasn't as good as what everyone had said, I felt.
