it seems to me the whole biblical "proof" that the universe is only 6,000 years old is based on the assumption that the creation "days" were actual 24-hour-days. I don't know how accurate the assertion is that humans have been around for 6,000 years... but I don't believe that the universe was actually created in one of our weeks.
And even if the Bible's dead wrong on this, like the addendum says, that doesn't disprove everything, it just means it's wrong about that.
And even still, if God did create the universe in a week 6,000 years ago, who's to say he didn't just create the light from those stars already billions of years en route? After all, he'd want Adam and Eve to be able to look up and see stars... waiting 4 years for the first non-Sol star to show up wouldn't've been acceptable.
I'm not saying the Bible is absolute literal truth, I'm just saying your "proof" is completely insufficient.
