Well, in between the action sequences, they have this thing called plot. It makes the movie have a storyline and increases the length of the movie.

Well, as you'll recall, it's based on a TV show that lasted for several seasons. Granted, from what I've heard, they didn't really draw on that show very much, but I'm just suggesting that it can be done.

two and a half hours of hardcore robot action? i mean, i know that's the draw of the movie, not this "plot" stuff, but doesn't it get excessive sometimes?
[ninety minutes, now that's a perfect length.]
i get antsy during movies. when i watch movies at home alone i typically find myself walking around and laughing like a maniac.

Did Hollywood learn nothing from Alien Vs. Predator? All I wanted was Aliens. Versus. Predators. I did not want thematics.
That being said, I thought Transformers was pretty good. The effects were solid, enough that I can overlook the fact that it was like a John Hughes movie with transforming robots. |
