i almost put down of montreal, that exact album. it's really good *bleep*. and you can't go wrong with the clash.

the last, however, i haven't heard of. D:

The Dismemberment Plan is my favorite band of all time. Each of their albums is spectacular in its own right, but I sided with their fourth, and last, full-length, because it showcases the band's maturity and smoothness, and seemed more fitting for a "top albums" list. I've been preaching Satanic Panic in the Atttic since I first heard it, because it's such a great complete album, not a single misstep (except, perhaps "climb the ladder".) Plus, for an of Montreal album, it's very accessible. And London Calling... well, no explanation needed there.

Man... a "top albums" list is just so hard... I appreciate too many styles of music to pick only a small handful from all of them.

"Time bomb" was the one that originally got me hooked. Yeah, it's their "hit" (they made a video for it), but it's still good. That, and "gyroscope" are very good songs for people who are new to the Plan.

Oh, and I like "climb the ladder", too, it's just, like, a notch lower than the rest of the album, in my opinion.
