Actually, from what they told me, they just put it up to my kidney and press a button and it breaks 'em up.

The pain is actually not from the urethra, but from the tubes leading from the kidneys to the bladder. The urethra is big enough for the stones if they can make it through the tubes.

I passed the biggest of my four stones last January. That was so painful I was hospitalized, but that was also because we didn't know what the problem was (the school nurses were really bitchy about it, too, since they couldn't explain it for some reason). I just finished passing another one (hopefully more, but doubtful), but it hasn't come out yet (to my knowledge). |

I have to have surgery on Friday. The stone I just passed won't come out because somehow it was small enough to make it out of my kidney with minimal pain compared to last time, but it's too big to fit through my urethra, even though the other, bigger one, was able to come through the urethra with absolutely no pain.
Either I'm missing something here or this doctor's a nutcase... |

I still don't understand it. It feels like I'm urinating just fine. It doesn't feel like there's any blockage at all (and yeah, if you didn't wanna hear about me urinating, sorry).
Does anybody know of any food or something that would widen my urethra long enough for me to get it through? There's gotta be something other than surgery... |
