Still, that sucks. You'd think they would refund you in actual money, because you were frauded and all.

I'd be pissed off, because they are trapping you into buying their stuff because someone else was a jerk and decided to ruin your holidays.

Well, they've got most of what I want. No 1.5 psps, but xbox 360s, gutar hero 2... (I'm getting the standalone game and 2 different 3rd party controllers. But I am the only one who gets to play the flying v.)

as long as your PSP is 2.71 or lower, you can get it to 1.5.

and you can still run some homebrew on 2.80.

1.5 isn't the holy-grail firmware anymore anyways... Dark_AleX's 2.71 SE-C is the hot homebrew firmware, at least in my book.

And meanwhile, the homebrew community is currently tearing into 3.01. They might find an exploit Sony overlooked. If they can get kernel access through one of the new features Sony included, then they can get you downgraded to any firmware you want.

...as long as the motherboard isn't a TA-082 or TA-086.

Maybe your best bet would be to buy a bricked PSP off ebay, then installing a mod chip. You're supposed to be able to unbrick a PSP with a mod chip.
