The Who: This is arguably the toughest, because The Who doesn't have as distinctive a sound, and did a lot of different things throughout their career. They defined what British music sounds like and the mod movement, so I'd go for Blur, The Jam, and Pulp. The band Randy has a handle on the Who's guitar crunch (think "My Generation"). Their album The Human Atom Bombs is the best place to start.
Led Zeppelin: The Black Crowes, The Black Keys (start with Rubber Factory, The Mars Volta, The Secret Machines (for the Bonham-style drums, more than anything else), The White Stripes.
Deep Purple: Clutch, Kyuss (and their extended family which includes Fu Mancu and Queens of the Stone Age), The Datsuns. If you like heavy, fuzzed-out 70s-style stoner rock, you might want to check out Stoner Rock Dot Com.
Jimi Hendrix: Nobody sounds like Hendrix. Sorry. Oysterhead sounds like the Experience if Noel Redding had been in charge.
