btw re: fleet foxes I think probably their best song is on the sun giant ep, although the self titled is a rollicker too
and again, is the mgmt album actually good? _________________

yeah mgmt is definitely worth a listen especially for a few of the tracks (time to pretend, weekend wars, electric feel, kids) and the rest of it is ok
also the coolest album title of the year goes to atmosphere for "When Life Gives You Lemons, You Paint That Shit Gold" _________________

Whose album is that?
btw, listening to the new Her Space Holiday (XOXO Panda & the New Kid Revival) and I have a feeling it will be on my list as well. _________________ here comes the big ideas again, just like they did before and then,

atmosphere is great but pretty much exposes the racism of alt-rock radio (will only play rap if it's made by white people)
also i really like that "kids" song _________________

You know, I liked one song by Her Space Holiday and then couldn't get into any of their other music. It all felt the same to me aside from one song :/ Maybe I was missing their "good" stuff or something, but yeah. _________________ Homsars Girl n. a bagpipe bent on engulfing the world in a mix of pepper and ketchup.

"XOXO Panda" seems like fit that happy, eclectic indie pop that all the kids are clamoring over these days - a big divergence from the moody electronica of his early work, and even from his more recent electronica/pop. _________________ here comes the big ideas again, just like they did before and then,

I guess I'll check it out sometime. I really loved the song Japanese Gum, but yeah, that was about it. _________________ Homsars Girl n. a bagpipe bent on engulfing the world in a mix of pepper and ketchup.

http://www.avclub.com/content/feature/the_best_music_of_2008/1
i don't like it as much as last year's, but that might just be because last year had more albums i liked. los campesinos at 4? they're just so fucking annoying. _________________
