I love it. I wish I hadn't started watching it so I could wait and get the dvd and watch it all at once.

No, this isn't a guilty pleasure. Grey's Anatomy, that's a guilty pleasure.

Sorry for semi-necroing this thread, but let me say a few things about this show:

1. The dude with the horn rimmed glasses isn't necessarily evil. There has been nothing to really indicate he is evil. Sure, there's some kidnapping going on but people are returned in a generally good state. But there's no murder and no indication of what they're doing exactly. Just because he has evil sounding music doesn't mean he's evil.
2. Nothing comes as a surprise. Really. Seriously. It's bothersome. Plot twists should be surprising. Bitch in the wheelchair? Not surprising. New chick for Hiro's love interest? Not surprising. Guy that does the whole blowing up thing? Not surprising.
3. There's only one universally likeable character on the show, and that's Hiro (sometimes Peter, but he's getting bitchy too). Niki's a whore (literally), Nathan's an asshole, we don't really see enough of Isaac and Matt to really actually like them.

Despite this I am semi-addicted to the show and watch it Tuesday nights with some friends when it's all downloaded on my computer.

Yeah, I liked mister Horn-Rimmed Glasses so far, even though he's a little odd. Though, I can't agree with you on Hiro being the only likeable character. I really like Nikki/Jessica and Micah. Ando too, even though he's kind of selfish.

I am beginning to seriously hate that FBI chick though. Everything she says or does is overdramatic and makes me want to slap her.

Yeah, she's annoying. Matt is cool though.

I must have forgotten what happened last week, 'cause I have no idea why Isaac is where he is.

They kind of skipped over him last week... I saw the last two episodes back-to-back. I believe he got kidnapped at the end of the sixth.

I hate how they just ignore characters and storylines for entire episodes. Especially when they're all over the frickin' country.

Tsuta, you like Nikki? I don't think anyone I watch it with actually likes her, no offense O_o
I mean, her and the kid... she barely spends any time with him.

Well, I think she tries. She's gotta work and crap to pay off debts and [used to] pay fer his private school tuition. She was also having all the issues with her husband being on the run, her really mean mother-in-law, "weird occurances" with the mirror things, and then work and money problems... Sometimes it makes spending time with yer son hard. They seemed to have a good enough relationship, anyways, and I'm sure she spent more time with him when we can't "see" them - usually when she gets airtime, she's having to deal with her powers and stuff.

Anyway. Yeah, I don't think Isaac got kidnapped. At he end of episode 6, Isaac welcomed the short-haired chick into his place, and then in that last ep, it seemed as though he was at that one place with Mr. Horn-Rimmed Glasses and short-haired chick pretty willingly. I think she just offered to help him get clean and stuff.

I am so late to this thread, but for someone who both finds out about things years after they peak and doesn't watch tv, this is good.

Somehow my friend managed to get me to watch some episodes from the second season and honestly I am hooked. We're going to watch the rest from the season before school starts and somehow I need to find a way to watch the entire first season too.

Hiro, Micah, Michelle, Matt, Nathan, and Silar are all awesome characters.

I'll watch anything that's been acquired by a friend of mine instead of sitting through ads.

Also the premise of Lost doesn't quite resonate with me, whereas Heroes is like X-men but with sillier/more realistic characters.

Also it's given me a terrible idea for a spin-off.

just watch lost. it basically set the blueprint for heroes (serialized ensemble show with a sci-fi element) but it's more intense and the writing is better. and the premise probably sounds silly to everyone initially (in fact, several of my friends who i turned on to the show [and are now hopelessly addicted] had the same problem). but if you dig the characters, you will definitely be hooked. and trust me, the mythology of the show gets mad interesting

dodger will back me up on this

I've seen the first season of Lost and the first season of Heroes and the latter destroys Lost in terms of characters, plot and overall intrigue.

I'm holding off on watching Heroes until I can get the box sets. I'd rather sit down and watch the whole thing at once than having to rock back and forth in a corner until the next week for a fix. No sir, I need an entire season.
