I learned about evolution in like 1st grade. It was incredibly general, sure, but it was still taught. I'm pretty sure everyone around my age I know had been taught it in early elementary school too.
I would only want for them to be taught around the same time, though, so I agree with you on that part.
Of course intelligent design is laughed at by the scientific community. It's not exactly science, it's just a push for a "faith-based alternative".
That being said, I still don't really care either way, since I don't have to take either.  |

there's plenty of resources to get a faith-based alternative. fuck, a huge amount of our population is christian, we have an totally religious society already. we have churches. why the fuck do we need it in the schools? WHY WOULD WE NEED A FAITH-BASED ALTERNATIVE IF EVERYTHING ELSE ON THE PLANET IS FAITH-BASED?
take your kids to church if you want them to be educated religiously. dont attempt to make kids who dont neccessarily want to believe in god do it. it's almost mind control.
also, how about a you know...rational or ACCEPTED theory when it comes to ID? WHY THE FUCK WOULD IT BE TAUGHT IN SCIENCE IF IT'S NOT SCIENCE

There are fat kids at church too. Also church isn't free you need to offer money so the pastor can make a living. |

yeah but at least church is only an hour or so where science camp is hell for three weeks and youre basically living with these bozos. and you dont need to offer money, if you hated the service you can just fart in the collection bowl.
