Well, if you like DSL so much, you might want to try Knoppix... DSL is actually based on Knoppix's liveCD setup, but Knoppix is much more full featured. If your PC has a DVD drive, burn it a Knoppix DVD and check that baby out.

Hmm. I think it just has a basic drive (the one that I was refering to). Is Knoppix over 700 megs?

well, there are CD versions of Knoppix 4, and earlier versions of Knoppix are CD sized... but the newest version of Knoppix is like.. 10 GB worth compressed to fit on a single-layer DVD... it's really awesome.

I don't have a DVD burner, though. I can only burn to (as of now) 700 meg discs. I'm guessing Knoppix 4 might be enough though, considering how amazed I am with DSL's 50 Megs Of Penguin Power.

I haven't a clue in the slightest. As a matter of fact, I'm not even sure if this computer can burn discs. Well, unless all Dell computers as of 2002 come with that already, tell me where I can figure it out.

insert a blank CD. it should come up with a list of actions.. some of those should be programs
