With help from the American Heraldry Society, who originally emblazoned (drew) the sheild, and myself who emblazoned the crest. My celebratory birthday gesture is to finish with having these registered. In about a week I will have my arms in the members area of the AHS website. Also I will have a professionally emblazon done for the certificate. Heh, The whole thing started with the "Coat of Arms" thread, which got me interested in heraldry. The AHS helped me design my arms, and they are great teachers too.

That's just for you, right? Not your family.

That's pretty neat. Guess I should make one someday. My general motto which I keep in my head is "Be slow to anger, but quick to strike."

cool idea by the way.

Hey, that's pretty cool. Could you explain to us what each of the symbols mean?

From th reg site:
http://usheraldicregistry.com/pmwiki.php?n=Registrations.20060912A

Design rationale:
The dominant colors are purple and gold. Purple meaning the royalty of Christ, and the gold meaning the power of God. The blue of the wolf represents my birthstone color the eagle feather represents my Native American heritage. In the border, the poppies represent The state flower of California from where I was born and reside. The ChiRho symbols represent my faith as well as my status as clergy.

In the crest, the "IHS" is the ancient monogram for Christ. The color red represents the blood he shed for us.

also note: The wolf in Native American lore also means power. It is all done in a Spanish type style, which gives a nod to my Mexican background as well.

Coat of arms, I believe, is singular.

Thanx man. I give a nod in thanx to Yazz for starting the original COA thread and getting me interested in personal heraldry. I am learning alot about my past family history.
