Out of the ones above. Don't include Resident Evil 4, as that's more an action game. (Still good, though)
In my opinion, Silent Hill is the best, RE coming in second, and Clock Tower takes third. Although they all kick ass.
Fatal Frame's puzzles were too obscure, though. And the game loses it's shock too fast.
And I've never played any of the Alone in the Dark games. _________________ beep beep I'm a jeep |

| What? Man, those snakes and wolves in RE4 were f'ing scary. Scarier than anything in the older REs. |

Uh, RE4 was definitely survival horror, sorry. It had action elements but at its core it was pure SH.
Silent Hill takes my vote, though. Pyramid head. And Akira Yamaoka. _________________

And Pyramid Head.
I really can't stress that anymore. I'm as gay for Pyramid Head as I am for the girl in my signature. _________________

I vote for RE, though it's for the series, and by that I mean RE4.
Del Lago rocked.

RE4 is the only one I've played and seems to be generally accepted as the best survival horror ever so, it gets my vote.
Using that Broken Butterfly is just too fun... _________________

I voted for RE as well since it's the only one I've played. Silent Hill intrigues me though. _________________
