I just got my new computer yesterday Very Happy

Here are the basic specks for the tower

Maker: Dell
RAM:512Mb(600 with D-celeron active)
Disk-space:63Gb(82 with D-celeron disk active)
System OS:XP professional edition
Processor:Pentium4 dual core
Standard programs:
Complete Microsoft office bundle
Paint Pro
complete Microsoft works bundle
1Yearfree Norton anti virus support
And your typical

It also came with a 17in viewable CRT monitor and USBkeyboard and mouse AND IT WAS FREEEEEEEEE! I wan a $500 gift card(the exact cost of the computer after some customization) and I'm with telus so there was no shipping fees WOOT

Just out of curiosity, does the case have a sticker that says "Windows Vista Capable"?
And if you get sick of Norton eating your ram (which you might need to upgrade if you plan on playing games or running a large amount of programs), you could try Webroot Spy sweeper, I've purchased 2 years of service and it hasn't failed me yet.
But congrats on your new computer, I just got this one in late August.

As easy as it is, he will probably have trouble with Linux. Though I did try that with this computer, I had to reformat after the boot loader screwed up, but it was fun when it ran smoothly...

It does What I wan't It to do, and thats animation, light gaming, and the enternet. Plus It cost nothing (I'm poor) so It's awesome no matter what because of It's freeness. And I've just finished installing every good gaming Emulator I could find. So my computer is game universal now!

MY old computer was a windows 98 with 96Mb of ram and a 1.5Gb s of hard disk space so anything is better then that.
