Well, I'm typing this using the opera web browser after firefox has deleted all of my bookmarks, and refuses to make any new ones. I'm not very happy about it, as firefox still has my passwords and cookies and such.

It doesn't have any of the nice little conveniences I'm used to.

Anyone have any idea on if it's possible to get my FF back?

I never tell my computer to remember passwords, so I know them all. Mind, you, I have a little bank of them in my head, about three or four I use over a bunch of different accounts, and all the accounts I registered when I was little have other passwords that are similarly easy to remember. And the same three or four screennames, too.

Not so good over wireless networks, but hey, it's cool with me. I'm pretty vigilant with keeping my computer free of spyware.

But I digress.

Opera has too many features for me... the most I use for Firefox is their version of RSS feeds, which isn't as nice as I like it sometimes, but it's handy when I'm bored and they're all up on my toolbar and I can just click and read comics.

What kind of cookies? Cookies are usually temp files anyways...

Look, the only reason I haven't uninstall/reinstall FF is in case I forget a pass, or if I can fix it.

Gahh... Is there any way to work alt-s here?

Yeah... I'd recommend following what Otogi said. Write down all yer passwords in Notepad or on paper, then reinstall. Can't really tell you much else.
