I'm surprised that there isn't a thread about this yet.

I just started playing this today, and I've gotta say that it lives up to the hype. It's freaking awesome. I just finished the level where you kill the floating eyeball thing and fight that Space Pirate Hunter than can detach his legs on the way out.

I thought the demo was okay. I don't have it anymore to compare, but I think they tinkered around with the control scheme a little. It's kind of awkward at first, but you start to get used to it by the end of the first level.

My chief concern is length. I couldn't have put more than an hour into the thing, and I've already beaten two bosses. That means that either there's a lot of bosses, or this game is pretty darn short. I guess the online makes up for shortness, but still.

Haven't gotten to test it yet. You can only use it when playing people on your friend list, and needless to say, I have no friends. Devastated.

I really like the FPS Metroids for the Cube, but my hands get crampy playing the DS version, even though I like it.

Also, I'm not particularly interested in online play, since I mostly play DS at work, and I need to be able to pause the game a lot. Too bad.

Well, since I have just discovered that you can use the mic to talk to the others, even though I'll suck severely to the point of not liking it, I'm gonna get it anyways (FPS games are automatically made better by Multiplayer)

I dibs Spire when I get it.

It's balls of lava. If you charge it, it sets the other person on fire.

Spire's my best character, followed by Trace, who's my favorite, if only because of that scorpian thing.
