The movie, based on the books, that is.
I finally got to see this at the little art house theater in Boise last night, and I'm glad to say it was worth the wait.
Has anyone else seen this movie? Is it completely old news by now? _________________

I watched the trailers for it in German a few months back. It actually looked pretty cool, at least until this one girl started talking about how vampires are real in her heart. That was a little weird. _________________ Married to Terri.

I was pleasantly surprised in that it was actually as non-stupid as the trailer made it look. The whole vampire thing is fairly well downplayed, since it's not really a vampire movie. If anything, it has more in common with the Marvel universe's mutants, where some people realize that they have powers, at some point in their life, and choose good or evil.
The difference is that once they choose, they're stuck. |
