You mean you never played...

I'm twenty-five years old. A puzzle game for children isn't supposed to be this hard for me. I got so pissed off at it that I had to put myself in time-out. As far as I'm concerned, Princess Lala can go unrescued.

Not at all. But play a few levels and I'll fake it.

It looks familiar.

It should be coming any second now. What is the goal, and how do you achieve it?

It's sort of like Bomberman. You pass through about a million rooms, and each is an increasingly difficult puzzle involving moving blocks around and avoiding enemies. The first few floors of the tower are a snap, and then around floor four or five, the game becomes really difficult and trying on the patience. Many rooms are impossible to complete if you don't follow an exact series of steps.

The Adventures of Lolo was one of the first games released by HAL, who also created the Kirby games. Lolo and princess Lala make cameos in most everything Kirby-related. They made like three sequels to this game for the NES, and continue to make Lolo games in Japan.

I'm actually surprised that so few people have heard of this game. It was mega-popular back in the day. At least as popular as Contra or Bionic Commando.

I love this game. I'm pretty sure I made it through the first one, because I've played through quite a bit of the second one. I should really dig it out and give it a play again, it was great. Damned hard in a lot of parts, though.
