I took the SAT on January 27, and I receive my scores tomorrow.
Who has taken these tests, and for what purpose? How well have you done?
Discuss, I guess.
Honestly, I think I got around the 500s. The fact that I am in 8th grade should be taken into consideration though... _________________

26 is... really good. Why'd you take it in 8th grade? I did to make a feeble attempt for IMSA. _________________

I got a 29 on the ACT in my junior year. After that I decied to go to the Specs Howard School of Broadcast Arts, so I didn't bother taking the SAT. _________________ here comes the big ideas again, just like they did before and then,

| I took the SAT back in November. Took it so I can apply to college, not revealing my score. Actually I don't think I even remember what I got exactly. D: |

meh, are we discussing scores too? D:
sat 1s i got 690 maths, 640 words, 630 writings. pretty shithouse scores for my school. someone i was talking to online got near perfect on a lot of his shit, and i know that i can kick his ass in some subjects, like biology and chemistry.
sat 2's i believe, not entirely sure, i got:
biology-m:790 bio's my best subject by far.
math2:740? it's more impressive when you know i didn't have a graphing calculator.
spanish: 540 or something like that. not bad for a non native speaker, but shit for someone who actually knows what they're talking about.
if you ask me, the tests are skewed to those who can afford elaborate test preparation, of which there is a lot. it may be a little bit of bitterness on my parts, but i honestly think they're overrated in the sense of using them in college admissions and stuff. the way the tests are formulated sometimes may just mean that you're really good at taking these crazy tests, not necessarily good at what you're being tested on.
interestingly enough, the two schools i broke it down to for my college decision (hampshire and drew) don't require sats for admission. _________________

I got an 1100 in the 7th grade. GG Duke University Talent Search
But yeah, I took the test on the 27th as well. Because I need to get into a college. At some point. My scores come in tomorrow as well, in any case. _________________ I'M A TARD |

Me too. I like how 29 is above average, but you're not, you know, one of those guys. It's a modest victory. Also, I didn't know you went to Specs Howard. You won't regret it (theoretically). |

Really? Because the highest score was 1600 until March of 2005. (That's when they added in the essay section)

My SAT:
Readin': 690
'Ritin': 530
'Rithmetic: 600
Not bad, but not good. In the long run, it didn't matter much since I'm just moving to San Francisco and taking film at Academy of Art University. |

eh, dad wanted me to. shit, my brother took it in 7th grade and got a 24, and again in 9th grade and got a 28. i don't know (or want to know) his top score but i know it was in the low 30's.
he's at notre dame, my school's valedictorian last year with a straight 4.0, the motherfucking linebacker/captain of the conference champ football team since sophomore year, and this year i'm a freshman (weighing in at a spectacular 120 lbs and 3rd string wide receiver).

i do feel like a better person than him though, because he finds no humor in stella, loves the blue collar comedy tour, listens to breaking benjamins/nickelback/etc, and according to his away message is watching "behind enemy lines 2" right now. i think i win. _________________
