oh yeah, big financial burden. C'mon, most of us are upper-middle class. Your parents could buy that thing no problem. Or get a summer job, you'll make way more than $400. Remember, Katamari doesn't come out 'till the fall at least.

I'd rather not get a Xbox360, but there's this one RPG I was hearing about that's exclusive to the 360 in Japan and it looks really pretty... I just don't want to get a console for like, only four games I want to play. There's no question I'll be getting a Wii eventually, however, there are quite a few games I want to play there, especially if you include VC things. I might wait until there's a more substantial library. There just aren't enough games I actually enjoy on the 360 yet to warrant paying $400 for it.

I have a PS2 and a Gamecube and the PS2 just has a huge library and was fairly reasonably priced... if the PS3 is ever reasonably priced and gets good games, I'll consider it.

But ohmigawd katamari yes will want 10km katafuckingmari.

so they fill the boxes with a few bricks to support the illusion. My roommate and I (and he was a lot more thorough than I was) haven't been able to find them in stock anywhere.

Take your console worship elsewhere. Any post not about Katamari in here will be deleted from now on.

So yeah, someone "leaked" a report about Namco telling retailers that Beautiful Katamari would be avaliable for Xbox 360 and the PS3 in North America on October 17th.

But then the post was taken down and Namco said nothing.

I can't see the multiplayer being fun. IT wasn't fun on the last ones, they don't seem to be making that many radical changes so I can't really trust it to be good this time around. I'm not interested in more cousins and unless they're really renovating the levels and making them really interesting, I probably won't get this. If it came out on the Wii and had integrated controls, that would be a different story.

Have you tried the Me and My Katamari ad-hoc multiplayer? It looked much more fun than the KD and WLK two-person multiplayer. I didn't get to try it, 'cause nobody else I know has the game... but that's probably what BK's multiplayer will be based on.

And that was my biggest problem with multiplayer in Katamari games... I only ever once found another person who would play it with me, and he wasn't very good, so I'd usually win easily.

I'll bet if the environments were bigger and the opponents were better, multiplayer would be really fun.
