I don't know about you people, but there are few things I like more than arcades. The games, the people, the spending ten minutes waiting for someone else to be interested in the tekken machine... Ah, fun times. Anyway, this thread is about arcades. Post arcade stories, hi-scores, favorite arcade games.

Currently, my favorite arcade game is ghost squad. And not just because there's a panda costume in some of them. For your information, I chose the virtua cop costume.

Virtua cop for the sega saturn... Good times.

we had an arcade in my mall about 10 years ago, then the mall management had an all out war on the mall rats and shut it down. there hasn't been a good arcade around here since.

Damn. Our arcade just got shut down, but it was because of debt, not the kids smoking weed in the back room. It had people who actually played tekken 5, too...

I need to play carnevil. House of the dead has got nothing on that when it comes to creepiness.

The only arcade we have around here is the one in the movie theater. It's got a few good ones (and the original TETЯIS machine from 1988) but it's still mostly ticket games :(

I've heard tales of the glorious, multi-story arcades they have in Japan though. If I ever get the opportunity to visit one like that, I think I might cry.

Unless the arcade has Burger Time. Then there are two reasons.

Part of our class trip was unlimited play at GameWorks for about an hour. It was fun hogging Time Crisis.

I just realized that I've played 3 different ghost squad machines, 2 different versions, and none of them had card readers.

I am very angry. But I'll be happy when it hits the wii later this year. Gonna buy that one.
