I've got several different playlists, distributed mostly by genre.

1.) Hard Rock - 49 Songs
Features Static X, Godsmack, Velvet Acid Christ, KMFDM, Nine Inch Nails, Stabbing Westward, Tool, Disturbed, Gravity Kills, and Orgy

2.) Alternative - 55 songs
Features 311, A Perfect Circle, Alice in Chains, Beck, Bush, Cake, Goo Goo Dolls, The Killers, Nirvana, Oasis, Pearl Jam, Smashing Pumpkins, and a few other misc artists.

3.) Techno - 22 songs
Lots of The Prodigy, Darude, Crysal Method, some Paul Oakenfold, and then a coule other songs.

So what are the highlights of your playlists?

I'm really bad with genres. All I know is that I can't stand rap. XD

My playlist consists of 222 TMBG songs, about 20 by Talking Heads, a few by Flaming Lips, a few by Frank Zappa, a little by Weird Al, around 300 showtunes (Les Miserables, PotO, Little Shop Of Horrors, Guys and Dolls, Cats, Jesus Christ Superstar, Evita, Song and Dance, and a few others that aren't important enough to name.), and a scattered few by The Beatles.

There are a few other bands, but I'd prefer not to talk about them. <_<

ack, i need to get standards, showtunes, jazz, and classical on my music library.

I have 541 songs, mostly by the pillows, and another large majority by my game soundtracks.

The only playlist I have is one for all my Japanese music, which I haven't updated in a while, but it's roughly 200 songs. It's all the pillows stuff, a couple of random pop songs, and the Katamari soundtracks.

I really only have one playlist; I went through my entire music library (which surprisingly had a lot of crap in it) and picked out my favorites. One day I'll divide them further into separate genres/moods, but I'm a lazy bum.

Ridiculously organized bulleted list time!
  • Emile Waldteufel (my favorite composer; anyone ever heard of him?)
  • A ton of other classical stuff, mostly Tchaikovsky and a bit of Puccini
  • George Gershwin
  • around 115 video game remixes (in every genre imaginable except rap or country)
  • bits and pices of video game soundtrcks (usually credits/cutscene themes, Zelda mostly, and a bit of Katamari Fortissimo Damacy)
  • Strong Bad (naturally)
  • A ton of random piano music
  • "I Don't Want to Live on the Moon" (Ernie's Sesame Street classic)
  • Raffi's "Bananaphone" (at normal speed and not looped, it's seriously a good song!)
  • Three different arrangements of Pachelbel's Canon in D (one orchestral, one piano, one rock)
  • Four different arrangements (in two different languages!) of O-Zone's "Dragostea din tei" (better known as the Numa Numa song)

As you can see, I don't have really popular tastes in music, but I'm proud of my playlist.

Well, I've got a whole bunch of random junk scattered all over my computers... the most complete representation of my music collection is probably my Nomad.

But I'm not going to get it right now, instead, I'll just list the names of the folders in My Music on this computer.

  1. 16Buttons of Justice
  2. RO BGM
  3. Big O OSTs
  4. Boston
  5. Chicane
  6. Daft Punk
  7. Franz Ferdinand
  8. Hootie and the Blowfish
  9. Jem
  10. Katamari Fortissimo Damacy
  11. Mannheim Steamroller
  12. Minna Daisuki Katamari Damacy
  13. The Complete Sounds of Katamari
  14. They Might Be Giants
  15. Trans-Siberian Orchestra
  16. YTMND - Soundtracks

...
so, there you go.
EDIT: Ok, I guess, for um... stuff..., I'll list my favorite file from each folder. Just refer to the list above.

  1. Natale Portman, but they're all good. 'Cept RoboCop.
  2. High Roller Coaster, but I love Sleepless, too. I enjoyed all the ones from 2005. Latinnova kinda dissapointed me.
  3. Dreadful. I mean, everyone loves Brick Ballades and Respect, but when I first heard Dreadful, I was hooked.
  4. This one's tough, I like 'em all. I guess the song I reach for most often in here though is Hitch a Ride.
  5. I don't listen to them much, and all I have is Behind the Sun, but I find myself singing along to Don't Give Up.
  6. Aerodynamic (Daft Punk Remix). Awesome remix of an awesome song.
  7. Another tough one. Probably The Fallen, but I also listen to Eleanor Put Your Boots On a lot.
  8. I don't listen to Hootie much anymore, and I really only have this 'cause my friend had it, and I lost this CD a few years ago. Probably Let Her Cry.
  9. They piqued my interest, I used to like Just A Ride the best, but now I like Finally Woken. Still, her cover of Maybe I'm Amazed is awesome.
  10. Katamari on the Rock. Katamari Love is also good. They're all good, really.
  11. Deck The Halls is their signature song for me... I have to say, some of their new stuff interests me less.
  12. I want to say Angel Rain, but I really love the heck out of Disco Prince.
  13. Again, a hard choice. Meadowtronic for the win, though.
  14. I only have Venue Songs on here. So Pittsburgh.
  15. Wizards in Winter, of course.
  16. Lots to choose from, but currently, probably Killing in the Name. ... What?

Yeah, me too. I only have about 4 playlists.

Boyo's Christmas Mix - Made for the Secret Santa thing, and it's really good. I put quite some time into it.

Prime Cuts: The Who - All of the Who's best.

Prime Cuts: Led Zeppelin - All of Led Zeppelin's best.

OK, I lied. I only have three.

Eric, those are the shittiest playlists I've ever seen, and this says a hell of a lot.

I don't even listen to playlists, that's just how elitist I am.

I pretty much live by playlists.

I've got one playlist with a song by every artist.

I started making playlists for songs that start with each letter of the alphabet (like, one word titles)

I've got playlists based on the rating system I use for iTunes (5 stars= favorite songs of all time, 4 stars= really good songs that aren't quite 5s, 3 stars= songs that I can easily recognize, but aren't 4s or 5s, 2 stars= songs I have listened to but aren't familiar with, 1 star= songs that I don't really like, but am keeping on my computer for the sake of having a complete album (until space limitations forces me to delete it.)) So, I've got a "5 star" platlist, a "4 to 5 stars", "4 stars", "3 to 5 stars", "3 to 4 stars", and "3 stars". I also have a playlist for all the songs that I have listened to at least once, and one for songs that I have listened to at least four times.

From there, I have playlists for the various compilations I have created, and songs that I complie for certain occasions (aka. my high school graduation party, house warming party.)

Oh damn it.

I forgot to mention that I have a playlist composed entirely of Linkin park songs.

My bad.

That doesn't really help. At all. Wink

I barely listen to music on my computer at all. I don't even have any playlists for when I do. Razz
