I've never had any vegan friends, because I wouldn't be able to get along with them. The fact is, you have to have the right kind of metabolism to be able to pull veganism off effectively.

Take my girl, for instance. She needs to eat red meat at regular intervals, or it seriously screws with her system. Yeah, she could try to get all her nutrients from vegetable substances, but that would basically mean that whenever she wasn't sleeping, she'd be eating, because her body has a hard time getting enough energy to burn from vegetables.

Many vegans aren't healthy at all. A smart vegan looks after his/her diet. However, many vegans believe that removing meat from their diet automatically makes them healthy.

That's the thing: For a lot of vegetarians (and vegans, I expect), vegetarianism isn't just their choice in food, it eats up (ha ha) a lot of their interest. It's like a hobby that they're into so much that they're annoying to be around, just like annoying Trekkies or gamers or comic-book geeks.

People who are vegan/vegetarian for political reasons automatically go down several notches on my respectability scale. Frankly, I think people being all uptight about cruelty to food while there are human beings suffering all over the world (many of them because they don't even have enough food) have seriously screwed-up priorities.

Here's the best part of my post, in case you can't be bothered to read the whole thing: My brother's attitude towards vegans is that he doesn't trust them. He says that if a person makes it that difficult to share something as basically human as sharing food together, there's something very untrustworthy about them.

He also says "Hey, how many vegans does it take to change a lightbulb? Ha ha, trick question! Vegans can't change anything!"

I've noticed that most vegetarians just one day decided they weren't going to eat meat, but don't care if you do. If they're annoying, chances are they're vegan.

I was under the impression that Fru didn't like fruits all that much.
Maybe I'm crazy. Sad
