**disclaimer or something** To the disappointment of you 30+ "old-timers" on the board, I've never seen the original Poseidon Adventure.

I liked it a lot, just saw it earlier today. It really cuts to the chase, the ship flips over in the first 10-15 minutes of the movie, a huge plus for my short attention span and I. Action gets a little repetitive midway or so through, with the same old "well, how do we get out of this new room now?" followed by the dramatically close escape into the next room to continue the cycle for awhile. Explosions, fire, loud noises, people dying, very good.

that little kid got fucking annoying fast though.

I watched the original to pass the time during a long car trip. It's wasn't really anything special, but it served it's purpose. I'll probably end up seeing the new movie.
