Armored Core is possibly my favorite videogame series ever. I've been playing it since I was 4 and the first one was released on PlayStation.

There are many games in the series, ranging from Armored Core, Armored Core Project Phantasma, Armored Core Master Of Arena (these are PS1) Armored core 2, Armored Core 2 Another Age, Armored core 3, Armored Core 3 Silent line, Armored Core Nexus, Armored Core Nine Breaker, Last Raven (These are for ps2) Armored Core Formula Front, for PSP, and Armored Core 4, for PS3. I have all of these, except Project Phantasma, and Armored Core 4 and Last Raven, because these aren't out yet. Anyway, what you do in Armored Core is build robots. Every part is interchangeable, and the parts you can build from are Core, Arms, Legs, Head, Arm Unit R (which is a weapon, Rifles Handheld grenade launchers, bazookas, machine guns, etc) Arm Unit L (For shields and energy blades, but in Armored Core 3 Silent Line and up, they can use regular guns like Arm Unit R can) Back Units (Weapons like Missiles, Grenade Launchers, Chain Guns, Rockets, etc) Extensions (extra stuff, like extra boosters, extra shields, extra ammo, energy replenishers etc), insides (small parts like missile decoys and stuff) boosters, which let your Armored Core dash forward, backwards, to the side, and fly. When you have all these parts, you do missions. You do missions to get credits, so you can buy better parts for your Armored Cores (Referred to as an AC in the game). There is a huge selection of parts, more than 400, which literally allows millions of combinations of AC's. The people who pilot the ACs are mercenaries, known as Ravens. I think this is a great game series for anybody. Ever. You should go out and buy Armored Core 3. It's probably my favorite one.
